Elevating Southern Appalachian Dance Collective
This season, SADC’s dancers will rehearse and perform in over 200 pairs of custom-fit, handcrafted pointe shoes. Averaging at $120 a pair, with each dancer averaging 9 pairs per season, our pointe shoe budget adds up quickly. But the artistry is worth the expense! From the Snow Scene in A Taste of Sweets, to the flittering Bird in Peter and the Wolf, and everything in between, pointe shoes deliver confidence, security, and balance to the dancers who wear them as well as to SADC as a whole.

Grishko Level

Known for their long-lasting quality, Grishko is a reliable shoe that many dancers start out in. For your donation, you will receive a personalized thank you card from a SADC dancer.
Russian Pointe Level

Russian Pointe always creates a well-fitted classical shoe that accentuates a dancers line. For your donation, you will receive a commemorative poster signed by dancers and artistic team.
Gaynor Minden Level

Gaynor Minden retains the beauty of a classic shoe, but with a completely modernized interior to meet the needs of today’s athletic dancers. For your donation you will receive your very own pointe shoes signed by a SADC dancer.
Suffolk Level

Held to a rigorous standard, Suffolk pointe shoes are meant to mold to the dancer. For your donation, we will put a name placard reserving your place at the barre in SADC's rehearsal room (limited opportunities available).

Bloch is a dependable shoe holding it's spot as an industry-leading brand. Over 75% of SADC uses Bloch pointe shoes. For your donation, you will have a name placard on a SADC dancer’s pointe shoe locker (limited opportunities available).

Based in London, Freed is held at a renowned expectation of excellence. Freed handcrafts and customizes pointe shoes for professional dancers. For your donation, you will receive a priceless backstage tour and dress rehearsal viewing of 'A Taste of Sweets' (limited opportunities available).
