Cameron Roberts
Performing Artist, Marketing & Communications Director
Roberts began her studies at Ballet Arts Academy and continued through Bristol Ballet until 2021. In 2019, Roberts was awarded the annual Teresangela Memorial Scholarship through Bristol Ballet. In 2022, Roberts became a founding member of Southern Appalachian Dance Collective. Some of her favorite credits with the company include Depression Lead in 'From a Mind', Pas de Quatre from 'Don Quixote', dancer in 'Daffodils', Louise in 'Carousel Waltz', Spanish in 'The Nutcracker', dancer in 'LEON', Duet in 'A Day in the Life', Trio and Jerusalem's Ridge in 'Appalachian Awakening', and dancer in 'Rush'. Other favorites include The Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch), Cinderella (Winter Fairy), Don Quixote (Dulcinea), Oklahoma! (Dream Laurey, Ellen), Etherial by Janine Aloisi (Dancer), Giselle ‘Willis’ (Demi-Soloist), Bowsprit by Kate Harpootlian (Dancer), and Russian Soloist in 'The Nutcracker'. Cameron studied Dance Theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy Conservatory Program and has danced with Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, South Carolina Dance Conservatory, American Liberty Ballet, Radford University, and Southern Appalachian Dance Collective. While with AMDA, Roberts was a part of their marketing/media team and worked on their profiles and outreach. Roberts currently works in the sales department at Barter Theatre, serves as the Media and Communications Director for Southern Appalachian Dance Collective and Center, and is working towards a Performing Arts Industry Certificate through New York University's Tisch School for the Arts.
