Anna Blake Wright
Performing Artist
Wright began her dance studies at the age of 4 at Highlands Center for Ballet Arts, ultimately becoming a member of the Highlands Ballet Company. During her time there, Wright performed leading roles such as Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in 'The Nutcracker', Belle in 'Beauty and the Beast', the Queen of Hearts in 'Alice in Wonderland', as well as the Magic Butterly in the local composition 'The Magic Butterfly'. After graduating from Highlands at the age of 18, she danced recreationally at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville while studying for her BA. After receiving her undergraduate degree in 2023, she returned home to Southwest Virginia and joined SADC to relearn her love for dance. Wright is beyond excited for the opportunities and the family she has found with her fellow dancers at SADC!
